Annual fundraisers

Danville Firefighters Local #429 raises funds each year to help our area residents in need. Groups that we have supported over the years include Aunt Martha's Health Care Network, Danville Areal Food Pantry, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Local 429 appreciates your continued support so that we can help those in need.

The IAFF has fought to save the lives of those with neuromuscular diseases since 1954. In addition to campaigns like Fill-the-Boot, thousands of fire fighters nationwide volunteer their personal time at MDA summer camps. Thank you to all who have supported the Danville Firefighters who have worked to Fill-the-Boot to help those affected with MDA live better lives. We appreciate your support.

  • The vote in Danville to layoff Firefighters that was scheduled for March 4th has been postponed.
  • We appreciate everyone's support at this time and will update once we have a new date for this very important meeting.
  • Again, the Council will be voting on whether or not to pass a Fire Tax and/or Layoff up to 15 Firefighters.
  • Postponing this vote will not sway our members from standing up for the public safety of our residents and we hope it will not sway your support of our local.
